Break-in oil
Since the first start of a new or newly rebuilt engine can be critical, oil is needed for both performance and longevity. The final sealing ability of the piston rings and the time it takes to reach the correct sealing ability can be the difference between being a winner or a loser. Leading experts and engine builders therefore recommend running-in oil for all new or newly rebuilt engines at the first oil change to set the piston rings and make the engine completely leak-proof. The oil contains high levels of zinc, phosphorus and molybdenum, which helps protect the engine parts before they have time to "set".
